| Clue 2 Goblins could originally be found in what position, before the population of house elves grew? Location of Key: Kitchens, so it is hanging outside the doorway to the kitchens.
Clue 3 One of the greatest causes of the Goblin Rebellions happened in 1640, when Goblins were wrongly recorded as "beasts" rather than "beings" in the now-outdated "Encyclopedia Magika" Hogwarts has one of the few remaining copies of this book. Location of Key: Hanging outside the restricted section of the library.
Clue 1: The Minister of Magic during the rebellions of 1636 sympathized with the goblins, who were oppressed creatures, because he was the first of the Ministers of Magic that came from a background that was similarly oppressed. Location of Key: The Minister was a muggle-born and largely believed that muggle, wizard, witch, and magical creature, were equal, so it is hanging in front of the muggle studies' classroom door.

| Gabe blinked expectantly at the door, waiting to go to the kitchens. He was glad that Briar was taking control of the students, God knows he didn't want to. With Patience in the group, he was surprised they weren't already screaming and arguing. The girl seemed intrigued by Eve, who stood silent and focused. The three of them seemed to have everything covered, so Gabriel hung back near Analise.
Normally, Patience would have been annoyed that Briar was attempting to order her around. Show then the way to the kitchens. She snorted. They could find their own bloody way to the kitchens. "So, where ya from Eve? Did your parents go to school here?" she asked, curiosity overwhelming her.

| "She is from the States Patience," Briar muttered, trying to find some way to stop this interaction, "Common, it's this way right?" he took a few steps down the hall, hoping everyone would just follow. "Eve has never seen a house elf before, so lets go right? Before the other team gets there?" Briar liked to believe that there was good in everyone. But Patience liked trouble just a little too much, 'Gods only know what will happen if she finds out the truth about Eve.' He sent up a quick prayer, asking anyone who would listen to give Eve the wisdom to keep her mouth shut.

| Eve followed Briar, "I do not know if my parents attended Hogwarts." she answered the short girls question as she moved ahead of Briar and tugged him in the opposite direction he'd been about to turn. "There is a faster way," her lithe form took off at a crisp trot down the hall, taking the first left and stopping midway down the corridor. "Here" she frowned, looking at a large moving picture before her. Cautiously she felt along the frame, It seems to be an airtight lock, locating other alternatives, her eyes and fingers traced the canvas, searching for imperfections.
"Ohohohohohoho, please that tickles," a womans high voice chimed with laughter.
Surprised, Eve lept back, her fists balled as she resisted the urge to create a defensive weapon. Her tension subsided as she caught sight of a white lady dressed in blue. |

| Analise watched as Briar tried to keep Patience from talking to Eve. She'd seen Eve around the common room a few times. The girl was really pretty, but frightened Analise. "How have... um.. you been?" She practically whispered to Gabe so that no one else would hear her. She was greatful that Karma wasn't in her group, but still she was very cautious to talk t him in front of others. |

| Gabriel followed along behind the group as they entered what certainly smelled like the kitchens through a secret passageway behind a painting in the wall. He'd have to remember this route for those all too frequent midnight egg-roll runs for Karma. Karma the boy remembered, glancing around him. He'd have to warn Analise about Karma. As if on cue, the red-haired girl appeared beside him, whispering a "How have you been?" in that mumbly, stuttery way that was so strangely comforting and so definitely Analise. Gabe turned to her, lips twitching into a small smile. "I've been a busy bee.." he said, scratching the back of his neck. "It's good though, feel like I'm helping out in some way, even if it's fetching coffee." The boy paused, and shook his head slightly, as if he were going to say something and then decided against it. "Pleasing the queen of Slytherin, you know. You should be careful of her. Karma, I mean. She can get.. lost sometimes." Gabe furrowed his brows, realizing that hadn't made any sense. "But, uhm, yeah, still playing the piano then?" he asked.
Patience stormed past Eve and Briar and into the kitchens. "There!" she squeaked, pointing to a key floating high in the air alongside pots and pans. The girl reached up to snatch it, but everything was just a bit out of reach. She put her hands on her hips, snorting impatiently at Briar. "Reach up and get it then. It's about the only thing you're good for." she turned to Eve, who looked like the only other one who was actually paying attention. "Next clue, Eve." Pat ordered in the same military tone the girl had used earlier. |

| The small smile that apeared on his lips was one Analise favored. Something about making at least one person in the world smile made her happy. Like maybe she's done something right. "I've been a busy bee.." Lise knew what he was talking about. It wasn't necessarily a secret that Karma was like his Master. "It's good though, feel like I'm helping out in some way, even if it's fetching coffee. Pleasing the queen of Slytherin, you know. You should be careful of her. Karma, I mean. She can get.. lost sometimes." Lise nodded, not really understanding what he meant, but definitely taking his warning to heart. It frightened her. "But, uhm, yeah, still playing the piano then?" A smile crossed her lips when he asked, she nodded. "Definitely. I've been writing a song lately." She murmured hesitantly. The simple fact that the slytherin had asked about her Piano playing made her blush slightly. "Still playing the guitar?" She mumbled, though she never got to fully enjoy his playing. She'd never admit it to anyone, or even to herself, but she'd often daydreamt about what it may have been like. Or how it could have been playing together. |

| Briar grinned, Patience needed to have more fun in her life, and not the kind of fun that meant laughing at others expense. "Why don't you get it General?" in one swift motion he grabbed Patience around by the middle and lifted her up, 'she weighs less then my potion book!' he thought to himself, surprised. "Go on, Grab it." |

| The redhead let out a high-pitched squeal as Briar lifted her up into the air. Her legs started kicking around instinctively. "BRIAR YOU LITTLE!" she growled, "You... can't.. tell me... what to.. do!" she grunted in between wriggles. The girl finally sighed and jerked the key out of the air. "There, happy? Jeez louise. I could have kicked you in the face you know." she crossed her arms as soon as she was set back down. "What's the next clue?"
Gabriel glanced up at Patience's squeak, but shook his head and after shooting the rest of the group a confused look, turned back to Analise. "Still playing the guitar?" she had asked. "Mhm" The boy nodded his head, remembering how he'd promised to let the girl hear him play sometime. "I used to write songs, too. Songs about.. people." he added, scratching the back of his head. "Haven't done that so much anymore." he shrugged his shoulders, letting his hand fall to his side. Gabe's eyes widened for a moment as he dug his hand back into his pocket. If Analise saw the black spot she would definitely freak out, and the lest thing Gabe wanted to do was get the Gryffindor girl any more mixed up in his problems. |

| Analise watched as Patience was set back down. She wondered briefly how such a small girl could have such a large voice, but it wasn't her place. She turned to Gabe as he began to speak to her, "Mhm" He nodded. She wanted badly to ask him when she could hear him play, but he began talking again. "I used to write songs, too. Songs about.. people." he added, scratching the back of his head. "Haven't done that so much anymore." His hand fell to his side and for a moment she thought she saw his eyes go wide. "I um, the song I've been writing... it's about someone." She added. Her fingers fidgeted lightly with the hem of her shirt. "You know.. you said you would let me hear you play." She muttered, a small smile on her face. She didn't want to push him, but she did want to hear him play. |

| "Really?" Gabriel's mind raced, relieved, first of all, that Analise hadn't seen the black spot on his hand, and secondly because she actually wanted to see him again despite the mess they had gotten into last time. "I mean, I know I said that, but I thought after what happened, you know, you might not want to have anything to do with me." he sighed, flickering his eyes to the floor, a smile appearing on his face. There was a brief silence before he thought of a way to meet the girl in secret. It was fun, really, going under the nose of Kismet and the Slytherins. Gabe wouldn't admit it, but he did get a bit of a rush from breaking rules. It brought him back. "Alright, so Karma is really, really suspicious of me. There are always teachers and Slytherins in the castle, but I think if we're outside of the castle we'll be safe." he nodded. "I go to the owlery every day while people are at lunch. Slytherins don't like their mail brought in while they eat, you know." he grinned wider. "It's perfect, but, wait." his smiled faded. "There aren't any pianos in the owlery..." he shook his head. |

| Eve nodded to Patience, the girl having given up on grabbing the key. "The ne-" she broke off, Briar grabbing up Patience, the girl kicking and huffing. Eve started for Briar, he was nearly twice her size, but she could take him. Fists balled she brought one arm back, 'I will not hurt anyone, in defense or otherwise,' the order she'd repeated to the headmaster stayed her hand as the Gryffindor put the redheaded Hufflepuff back on the ground. 'Was this close to hitting him!' in her minds eye she saw fingers closing on each other, pausing 1.34 centimeters apart. She stood, fists balled, watching Patience bark orders.
"I got it!" Will called from behind a couple of 3rd years, "One uh the greatest causes of the Goblin Rebellions happened in 1640, when Goblins were wrongly recorded as 'beasts' rather than 'beings' in the now-outdated," Will paused, scratching his head, "En- ency- encyclopeedia Magika' Hogwarts has one of the few remaining copies of this book." he finished, face a little red.

| "Really." Analise nodded, laughing lightly. She looked up at him, ignoring everyone else, "Of course I would want to still hear you." She murmured, "It wasn't um.. It wasn't your fault." Again, she was watching his lips, his smile. That smile she'd seen in her dreams. Her heart raced when he mentioned Karma being suspicious of him. She'd gotten him in trouble, how stupid of her. And now he had karma on him? She felt horrible. She shook it off, she'd talk to him about it later when it was safe and there weren't other people around. "I'll meet you in the owlery then." She murmured, watching his smile fade. She frowned lightly, "Gabriel..." She whispered lightly, "Let's meet in the Owlery." She murmured again, she wanted that smile to come back to his face, "I'll think of something. I promise." She whispered, "Can I..." She shook her head lightly, "nevermind." She laughed lightly, nervously. 'You'll think of something?! What are you going to think of? She thought. She could just sing for him, maybe? Or ... at night... they could sneak out to the music room.. or the Room of Requirement. They'd never get caught there. But finding it... "I'll be there, if you will." She whispered. |

| Briar laughed and ruffled Pat's hair, "Aw common Patience, have some fun, your always such a stick in the mud." He heard Will speak up, something about an old book and beast not beings.... "Dude Will, I didn't realize you paid attention in history class." Briar commented laughing, "So what's that mean? The library?" he sighed, "It's totally on the other side of the school" |

| "I'll think of something. I promise." Analise whispered, her wide eyes flickering back and forth across Gabriel's face. The Slytherin nodded his head, feeling himself calm down with a small sigh of relief. The boy felt comforted by Analise's promise, knowing that it wasn't completely up to him to try to make everything work out perfectly. Mostly because the more responsibility Gabriel took on, the more chance he had to fuck it up, but also because he had the slightest feeling that he and Analise were in this together now, both willing to try and figure out what to do. "I'll be there, if you will." the girl finished.
"Oh," Patience huffed, going out of her way to elbow past everyone in the group. "Quit whining, you big babies. The library's not too far away." the little redhead narrowed her eyes at Analise and that sulky Slytherin boy. "And what do you two think you're doing? You're not getting any prize of mine." she snorted, and glanced over to Will. "Look, even this kid is attempting to help." she shook her head and set off for the library. "I'm not wasting my time with this."
Gabriel nodded his head, barely able to hide his grin as Patience stormed off past him. "I'll be there." he chuckled. "Might smell like dead mice, though. Owl food and what-not." he closed his eyes, shaking his head. His smile faded for a moment. Dead mice. What was he thinking. He'd probably spoiled Analise's dinner or something. Girls didn't like to hear that stuff, anyway. Then again, Gabe's lips twitched into a smile, Ellie might have. In fact, she'd probably make a comment about how delicious they were and show up with a handful of dead rodents of her own. The boy blinked his eyes open again and glanced at Analise once more before following the rest of the group to who knows where.
